RECRUITING SERVICES
If you are a good athlete, the key to being recruited for a college athletic scholarship is exposure. This means letting college coaches know who you are, where you are, and what you can do. You may be considered a future good college prospect but if no college coaches, or not many college coaches, know about you then you will likely get left out of the recruiting process. This is why you must have the proper exposure that will ensure your opportunities for a college scholarship, and this is why the National Scouting Report program will give you these opportunities. Since our beginning in 1980, our philosophy has been that if we provide the most thorough and comprehensive exposure services possible for each prospective student-athlete, they will be successful. We also wanted these services to serve all the scouting needs of every college coach in America. Our goal was to make sure each individual athlete on our program would not miss any opportunity at any school in the country and that they would have choices when it came time to decide about their college educations. Originally, our services revolved around the print media and personal coach contacts. We mailed out millions of resumes’ to college coaches each month. Today our services are much different. While we still maintain close personal contact with the college coaches our services are more high-tech in nature and they provide the ultimate scouting and exposure program for both the prospect and the college coach. National Scouting Report continues to provide now, as it always has in the past, an exposure program that is totally thorough and will provide any prospective student-athlete his or her best opportunity to be recruited. PERSONAL BROCHURE

NSR professional staff members will design a four-page brochure which will contain complete information about the prospect. This may include personal references, honors and achievements, academic and athletic statistics, a personal essay or message written by the prospect, and photos of the prospect.

PERSONAL PROFILE RESUME

Based on a personal interview, recom-mendations, and background information, a professional NSR staff member will design a thorough student resume. This will include honors and achievements, statistics, academic information, recom-mendations, evaluations and a personal color photo.

TOTAL COLLEGE EXPOSURE

Each month NSR will contact all of the college coaches, in every division, who are involved in the prospect’s specific sport. Along with our personal recommendation letter NSR will give the coaches access to the prospect’s complete personal data file, including the prospect’s latest monthly scouting reports and updated statistical and personal information, the prospect’s Web site link and e-mail address, and any other information that is pertinent to the promotion of the prospect. NSR maintains an unpublished personal e-mail address file of over 25,000 head coaches and assistant coaches and each month contacts these coaches, along with athletic directors, recruiting coordinators, and in some cases, admission officers.

REGIONAL COLLEGE SELECTIONS

Based on personal criteria furnished by the prospect, twice a year NSR will search out all colleges meeting the prospect’s qualifications and goals. Area of the country, size of school, level of athletic competition and other factors may be used to determine the colleges to be searched out. NSR will promote the prospect’s athletic and academic quali-fications to all these colleges.

SPECIAL BROCHURE PROMOTION

Each year the prospect may select 50 colleges for a special mailing of their personal file. Printed in full-color on top-quality printing stock, NSR will send to the college coaching staffs an individual mailing on the prospect, including a full-color brochure, a letter of recommendation and other information pertinent to the promotion of the prospect. An additional 50 brochures will be available to the prospect each year.

PERSONAL VIDEO

Using footage from videos furnished by the prospect, twice a year NSR will edit and produce a top-quality master evaluation video demonstrating the prospect’s abilities. The video may include personal interviews, skills demonstrations, showcase drills and evaluations, game or other competition footage, graphics and background music to enhance the visual effect of the video.

VIDEO PROMOTIONS

NSR will digitize the prospect’s personal video and place it on a high speed, wide bandwidth server. Each month all college coaches are notified and made aware of the prospect’s video via Web link. This allows college coaches, nationally, to view a complete full-screen, top-quality digital video of the prospect. NSR will make special contact with any 100 colleges of the student’s choice stating the prospect’s particular interest in the college and include a personal promotional letter about the prospect along with a direct link to the prospect’s video. By request, colleges may also receive videos in VHS or CD format.

PERSONAL DVD &
BROCHURE MAILING

The prospect may select up to 20 colleges to receive his or her personal evaluation video on DVD, and an up-to-date copy of his or her Personal Brochure. The prospect may submit to NSR a personal letter to the coaches, which will be included in each of these mailings.

COLLEGE REQUEST SERVICE

College coaches from around the country regularly contact NSR requesting recom-mendations and referrals on prospects meeting specific criteria. If you (prospect) meet the criteria requested your updated profile, complete data file, and a direct link to your video will be sent to each college requesting the information.

PERSONAL WEB SITE

The NSR staff of webmasters will produce a professionally designed personal Web site for the prospect. The site will contain up to ten separate web pages, each featuring a different category. Included may be personal and academic infor-mation, athletic evaluations and statistics, high school transcript, scanned news-paper articles, awards, competition or game reports, family information, photos, video, and a personal message. At any time the prospect may provide NSR with information to add to the Web site.

WEB SITE PROMOTION

The prospect’s personal Web site including all changes, statistical updates, and new additions will be sent to all college coaches every month.

INTERNET EXPOSURE

The prospect’s personal profile and other scouting information will be maintained in the NSR Web site. Every college coach and admissions officer in the country has free access to the NSR files, at all times. The NSR Web site is updated on a daily basis. NSR prospects may make additions or changes to their internet file as often as necessary, at no charge.

QUESTIONNAIRE SERVICE

College questionnaires may be submitted to NSR by the prospect. These question-naires will be returned to each respective college, along with the prospect’s most recent updated color Personal Brochure.

SHOWCASE PRIVILEGES

NSR either conducts or sponsors show-cases throughout the country in several sports. Any enrolled NSR prospect is entitled to attend sanctioned NSR showcases free of charge. The certified results of these showcases and the individual showcase skills videos of each NSR prospect will be placed on a special internet site for college coaches. The prospect may also place certified statistics of any other NSR approved showcase on the site at no charge.

SPORTS CAMP RECOMMENDATION

If the prospect plans to attend any sports camp sanctioned by the NCAA, NSR will notify the camp director about the prospect’s credentials and ability, prior to the start of the camp. NSR will send the director a letter of recommendation for the prospect and enclose a copy of the prospect’s latest color profile, and a direct link to the prospect’s personal video on NSR’s high-speed, high-bandwidth server. The purpose of this is to ensure the prospect of getting special attention at the camp.

SPECIAL E-MAIL ADDRESS

The prospect will be given an unpublished, special email address, issued by NSR, to be used exclusively by college coaches or used by the prospect for other recruiting purposes. Coaches may use this address to contact the prospect directly or, in some cases, send the prospect an attached “Athletic Questionnaire” via email. The prospect can also use this address to personally contact or communicate with college coaches. The prospect’s special e-mail address will be included in all NSR promotions to colleges.

SCHOLARSHIP SEARCH

NSR provides a non-athletic search of scholarships based on personal criteria provided by the prospect.

HIGH SCHOOL
TRANSCRIPT SERVICE

NSR will obtain a transcript release from the prospect’s parent and request an updated copy from the high school. This will become a part of the prospect’s file and made available to all colleges. At anytime the prospect may request from the high school that a copy of an updated transcript be sent to NSR. The updated transcript will be sent to all colleges as part of the regular personal prospect Web site promotions.

COLLEGE APPLICATION & FINANCIAL AID ASSISTANCE

NSR will notify any college of the student’s choice for the purpose of gaining admission to that college or to request financial aid assistance. NSR will request, for the prospect, the college’s promotional material, admissions application, financial aid forms or other financial aid information, and scholarship opportunities.

EXTENDED SERVICE

All services are extended through Junior College and Prep School upon notification to NSR of entrance to these levels of education.
